I was lucky to be invited to interview Apollo 15 Astronaut Al Worden at New Scientist Live in London, UK.
Al is only one of 24 men who have flown to the moon.
And is in the World Guinness Book of Records as the “Most isolated human being”.
He completed the first deep space EVA – as photographed here.

True Gentleman
More than all of that – he shared his life story with humility, wit and charm. He was completely down to Earth – a true Gentleman.
